Interesting story just reported by trusty Brett McMurphy at CBSSports.com.
First I've heard of this. Obviously Cooper only recently brought it up.

I think over the years more and more stuff will leak out..as great as Pearl made our program I'm glad we have moved on

Agree. The basketball program is very lucky that Pearl and staff took the brunt of the NCAA's wrath.

Why is this just now coming out? These kids and I mean kids like this he's wanting to be seen and he don't care what he says. Why didn't the parents say something before? They always (or most) try to make a name for themselves. They want to keep downing Pearl and he put UT BASKETBALL back on the map. He apologize so it's up to us to accept it.
He lost his job and we're still running him down. This is my opinion and only mine Bruce Pearl in my honestly opinon is the best Basketball coach in UT history. He put us on the map. I loved Ray Mears and Devoe but Pearl done alot for UT and I'm tired of listening to people put him down after he apologizes.

Well, he hasn't apologized for this yet, because he's been sitting on it hoping no one would find out. Makes you wonder what else he did that hasn't been uncovered yet.
I for one believe that integrity is more important than winning. Programs may win for a while on charisma and cutting corners, but it's only temporary. We need a program that does things the right way. Then the best, highest quality athletes want to come here, and their parents want them to come. The good news is I think we have a head football coach and head basketball coach who totally get it in this regard.

If you can remember. Pearl said he's sorry for what he did. Everbody want's to run him down now but while he put UT Basketball on the map we were all happy. He was winning and he's the best coach in the nation. How do you know what these other so called players and parents are saying is true? Let's face it if DD don't win you'll say the same thing and if Martin don't win what are you going to say? Let's face it we all said Fulmer was the greatest thing since slice bread and now he's going down as the worst coach in UT history. You all can't be please. Let start punishing the kids that start all this stuff. They will accept all the hand outs but never give it back. If they're not getting enough attention they'll start saying things.
Pearl is and will be more of a man by apologizing than most of us will do.

Yeah. I believe Cooper has put out statement retracting earlier story. Taking away from their tournament run. Don't believe anyone really cares.
