Honoring the greatest coach of all-time ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Neyland
Dave Hart & Jimmy Cheek are going to screw this thing up. There is 0% chance that Gundy will leave OK State & if you can't pry Strong from Louisville a guy who WANTS to coach in the SEC to one of the top football schools in the SEC something is wrong.
Is Fedora going to leave after one year at North Carolina? You read that he might be worried about how it would look if he left Carolina after one year. That leaves Butch Jones? Are you kidding me?
All this equals Dave Hart & Jimmy Cheek screwing up this hire BIG TIME.
I hope I am wrong.

everyone before we jump off the cliff and want to fire Hart for not getting Strong onboard yet...first let's see if he does come to UT. Or if he doesn't, then what if Strong is making some sort of demand that is not in the school's best interest concerning control, or asking for some stupid amount of cash, or whatever. I want Strong and hope we get him however, before everyone dumps on Hart let's see how it plays out. and if we don't get him, before we rush to throw Hart over the cliff let's learn what happened.
Like many I'm hoping to hear something on Strong being named coach soon, but as I was attempting to watch the streaming video from last night's NFF ceremony, I noticed as Jerry Jones was introducing all the coaches in attendance that Fedora's name was NOT called. I took this as quite odd if he was actually there that his name wouldn't be called. By way of comparison the guy who replace Doeren at NIU was called, so again it kinda says to me that Fedora was not there, at least not at the ceremony. Interestingly Al Golden was there, hopefully that means absolutely nothing. So how certain are we that Fedora was actually in NY?
Butch Davis time. Best top 5 coach over the last 15 years still out there. Saban 1, butch Davis 2, urban Meyer 3, spurrier 4, Tressel5 over the last 15 years in college football. Guy would have won 3 straight nat champs if he had not gone to Cleveland. Was most sought after coach on the planet in 2000.
Good stuff, Kevin. Not exactly what I was wanting to hear but I think we are getting close. Today could be the day. It's time to make this hire and for our new coach (hopefully Strong) to get on the recruiting trail and make this a top 10 class!
