Ms St loss will only get worse...

  • I know we stood by Dooley's 27-1 opponents record before this week, but that is going to change in the next 4 weeks. Ms. St. will lose at least 2 of 4, maybe 3, USCe will probably drop one to Clemson (w/out Lattimore), FL has FSU, although GA and Bama will probably stay clean. The MS. St loss is just going to continue to get worse and that's the one for me that we could have and should have won and still hurts some. Only time will tell, but I'll support the Vols the next four games and see what happens! Go Vols.

    But all of the teams that beat us, even though some of them shouldn't have, will still be in the top 15-20 at the worst. It sucks, but we're just not there yet.

  • We are never going to be there under Dooley. We have no above average corners or pass rushers and our entire defensive front is JUCOs. We have a bit of talent at linebacker but none of them are fast enough to play in coverage. Our offense is going to regress next year, even if Worley and some of the young receivers step up. There is no reason to expect next year's team to be a top 25 team either, and Dooley has proven he cannot beat anyone who is in that class. What exactly does giving him more time accomplish?
