My Goodness People

  • You guys really lose your heads. We got people saying we're on Kentucky's level. We got people naming who our new head coach is gonna be. I mean my gosh. Our team doesn't suck guys. Honestly, and I'm not a fan of Wilcox, if his defensive scheme was still here, we'd be winning games and I believe that. I like Sunseri, but the transition is just absolutely brutal to the team right now. Our team isn't a bad team. We are good. Had we not shot ourselves in the foot with turnovers in both the Georgia and this game, we probably had a good shot of pulling it out. Just chill out.

    We aren't a good team. We aren't Kentucky bad, but we are a bad football team. We don't do the small things to win football games.

    We are below UK's level. Over the last 2 years both programs have won 1 SEC game and guess who their 1 win was over?

  • Our fanbase is ridiculous. "I have chilled for three years of this." I mean we aren't on the field. These players want to win too. I mean, Dooley didn't rip the ball out of Devrin Young's arms. Dooley didn't tell Rivera to stand there and watch someone else recover the ball on a kickoff. I'm not saying he's the answer, but I'm saying that everyone is being ridiculous. We most certainly aren't a bad football team. We have a bad defense, but I think our offense is well above average. We give every team a run for their money. Would I rather see more wins? Yes. BUT bad teams get blown out. We haven't been blown out yet.

    I agree we've fallen far, but Miss State isn't a bad team. And they proved that. Their quarterback is an extremely smart player.

  • FL blew us out, should've won. GA, should've won, M State, should've won. That's just this year. LSU, should've won. UNC, should've won...coaching coaching coaching coaching coaching coaching.

    Florida beat us by two touchdowns. I don't classify that as a blowout. Kentucky was getting beat 35-0 in the second quarter by Arkansas. That's a blowout.

  • Read the original post. We want to be good enough to beat ranked teams, but we aren't there yet. You can't turn an SEC program around in three years. You can't recruit well enough until you win, and you can't win until you can recruit better.

    The next guy you guys would hire could do no better and he may do a helluva lot worse. The guy we have deserves to have a roster of guys he recruited over four years.

    It gets tougher to say, but the message hasn't changed. Stay the course. The alternative is very likely an even longer period in the wilderness.

  • My insta guy reaction was fire dooley, but seeing all the BS spouted by others about Firing Dooley and who they'd hire has pulled me back from the cliff. Still think there is a good chance we fire Dooley, but really I can accept this season for what it is. Marginally better than last years record. 5-7 becomes 7-5 or 8-4. Perhaps we win a bowl game and go 8-5 or 9-4. That's not bad after last year. But these losses are just draining me of enthusiasm. If someone gave me tickets for the Bama game, I'm not sure I'd use them at this point. Probably would and take my daughter and dress her in Red so she could be a winner while i wear my orange and cringe. Next season is too far away and a bridge too far. I just want to survive this season without having a heart attack.

    Good thing you showed up because I get the feeling that I can count the optimists on this board now on one hand. I agree. It is harder to support him, but I still do. And I will until the day that Hart, or whoever, lets him go. If that happens. Who knows? He could go undefeated the rest of the year.

    I can't emphasize this enough. Stop making EXCUSES for Dooley.

    Look at the roster saban, muschamp, and Meyer inherited they were full of talent, this team now has talent but not enough in the 2 & 3 deep to win against the teams we lost to.If we had the talent in the 2 @ 3 deep like those coaches did we would be 6-0.

    We don't suck, at all. We have lost 3 games, to 3 ranked teams, 2 of which were on the road. In all of the games we have played, we had a chance to win in the 4th quarter.

    Just a heads up, Saban is leaving Alabama and Kirby Smart isn't Saban. There is nobody you are going to bring in next year and make us a contender again overnight.
