First, when I say K-town media, I'm really talking about the Doc, Jeff and Heather show. Jeff just said "yeah, apparently Gruden just denied any interest in the Tennessee job this morning on ESPN".

Nice reporting moron. Little dramatic to say he denied any interest in the Tennessee job. Gruden may not come to Tennessee, but it's almost like guys like Jeff are hoping he doesn't. Mike & Mike ask Gruden if there is anything truth to the browns/tenn job and Gruden says no.

The Jeff goes on the radio and says "yeah, Gruden denied any interest at all in the Tennessee job'. What an idiot.

Now, as for the Gruden comments, two things:

1) Go listen to it on youtube. I thought he was surprised by the question and was agitated to be put on the spot like that. He finally just said "guys, I appologize, but I really don't have time to talk about coaching speculation....let's get on to the real nuts and bolts of the Mike & Mike show". He was clearly annoyed to be put on the spot. Totally doesn't mean he's coming to Tennessee, but I thought his answer was interesting. He's obviously never going to say "oh, yeah, those rumors...there's some truth to that..." He cut if off quickly so there were no follow up questions.

2) I'm an auditor and trained to read people. The most interesting part of the interview to me was that it seemed that Gruden knew exactly what rumors they were talking about. It just was reported late last night. Maybe he got up early this morning and read about it, but I would have expected him to say something more along the lines of "huh, no, I haven't heard about that one...that sounds pretty ridiculous..."

Anyway, I think the Browns ownership stuff is probably BS, but it could be part of what's slowing the deal down.
