Interesting article - thanks for posting. Two things I learned from this article: 1. Gruden and Sunseri coached together at Pitt in 1991, with Gruden the WR coach and Sal the ILB coach. 2. The issue that I fear most will be the absolute meltdown if we end up getting outbid for Gruden's services by Arkansas . . .

Do you think our boosters will let Arkansas beat us out money-wise for him? I feel like at this point money will come from all directions to hire the best possible choice.

Nothing new there. Basic clip job. Note, however, that he listed Arkansas before Tennessee and noted they are willing to spend megabucks.

Welcome to the Board. To answer your question, I think, from what I've read, that IF Gruden returns to the college ranks, that Tennessee would certainly be the odds on favorite to land him. With all of the "sightings" of Gruden, I can promise you with photographic evidence that he was in Newport back during the summer at WalMart. One of our Aldermen took a picture of him with the Alderman's wife in the Newport Walmart and posted it on Facebook. Cindy really is from Jeff County . . .

In the past UT has refused to open the purse very wide. We'll see if Hart views things differently and, if so, can he convince others? Alabama ought to be the perfect example to follow. Still, UT has been very reluctant to pay in the past.
