Ha no worries, but I'd disagree to some extent to what you said. Recruits these days don't see Tennessee as a power house school. Most of them aren't acquainted with what we perceive Tennessee to be. Facilities are a plus, but if you were a recruit and had offers from Tennessee and Alabama (who for the sake of the point has terrible facilities), where would you go? A place that wins championships, or a place that struggles to make a bowl? I do realize though that facilities are nice and that other factors come into play.

I got the sense from Jones' press conference that he's not going to be outworked - whether in recruiting, coaching, or management of the program. Based on what I've read since then, he's making sure he doesn't get outworked.

Yea it seemed for the longest time it was a Osu Tenn battle and then it was like everything went quiet. I read something saying he was all set to decide and would visit after the decision and then there was an interview that said different.

You can only visit a kid once inhome as a HC...........its that time of the year to choose now or in mid to late Jan.

Dooley did a good job....no one does a perfect job. Saban changes things most every year. Dooleys problem was our programs image and his oversight in NC, VA and not enough assts in TN which he fixed after NSD 2012. Too late though.

I think Butch will do a very good job and is doing many things right off the start to like but we still have our issues and playing catchup which Dooley did for 2010-2011. That staff was not fit for the South too........another thing he fixed in 2012.

With all due respect, this thread is just filled with inaccuracies.
- The 2010 class was assembled by Dooley going into the houses of Darick, Hunter, James, Stone (beat Saban), and Neal.
- If you read the commitments from 2011 and 2012, all of the big name recruits talk about liking Dooley.
- Butch can come in and target elite recruits this year because he is a new coach at a big name school. It is a pretty easy sell to initiate a conversation by saying, "I am building something new, I need my guys, you would be one of my guys."

CDD had to go, he clearly made some mistakes with recruiting, I too am excited about a new coach, but can we avoid just making up the past?
