Guys, you're fighting a losing battle trying to talk positive logic to GV2011, even you Ryan. By far the most negative poster I've seen on this board in my 7 months as a member. Border line troll, IMO.

Just because Dooley couldn't coach talent doesn't mean he couldn't evaluate and recruit talent. We have more than our fair share of quality talent within our starters, as will be evident over the course of the 2013 and 2014 NFL drafts. The problem is that there is a rather large drop off from our starters to our back ups. Bama starts 4 and 5 stars and backs them up with 4 stars. We start mostly 4 stars and back them up with 2 and 3 stars.

As for Branisel, his offer sheet is neither terrible nor outstanding. He's a middle of the road talent with some quality characteristics and he could develop into a fine SEC TE. That's just going to depend on our new staff's ability to develop talent, something that Dooley vastly underachieved at. I welcome the addition to a position of need and hope he is a pleasant surprise one day.
