No Chat about starting CB out for NC State?

  • They lost their other starting CB to eligibilty issues and did I miss something or are their no posts or concerns about this....well this article may be the reason why

    sounds like they had already made the switch by all accounts by the time fall camp started.... I just wonder how experience of never played CB out on an island of sorts... I know they play zone...but still you have to wonder about experience, since most of his was at nickle probably covering slower people???? thoughts?

  • Someone mentioned this in another post. But it looks like he had already been replaced, so he wouldn't have been a "starter." If the new person replaced him at corner, I'm sure there is a legitimate reason. He obviously played better.

    It affects depth more than anything. It will be interesting to see if the matchups will be Patterson v. Amerson or Hunter v. Amerson.

  • He is replaced by Dontae Johnson. They were in a pretty fierce position battle and Wilson's eligibility issues made the decision for the 2 deep pretty easy. Johnson is a converted safety and has really nice size 6'3" 190. Wilson was good too though, but the fact that they have such a talented, experienced secondary makes this loss pretty easy for them to absorb. The issue is when they start rotating guys in or go to loaded DB packages. They have very little experience in the 2 deep at corner and safety.
