I expect that. The players need us to support them. Hart is no idiot. Lets just try to be patient for 2-3 more weeks and let this run its course.

Doesnt mean that Hart wont be talking to other coaches. I'm sure he probably already has a final list of guys who are interested.

Is it fair to the players to play for a lame duck coach?
I've never been on a team where the coach was going to be fired, so I don't know how that'd affect the general attitude. Hopefully this bunch wants to win out anyway so they don't go down as one of the worst three year runs in Vol history.

Can only talk to the coaches that are not playing right now, correct. People like longshots such as John Gruden, Bill Cower, etc. Or at least have to have university allow you to talk which I do not see happening at this moment.

Timing didn't seem to matter when the last two coaches were fired with games left, namely Majors and Fulmer. Each of those were under different AD's too. I think pulling the trigger and starting the process sooner than later would be best but that.s just my opinion.

Fulmer last yr we had no shot at bowl game or he honestly would still have a job.

Right. He was fired the week before the Wyoming homecoming debacle. Win that one and the others he won afterwards and he would still have been in a bowl.
