This unofficial is key and seems it was our only chance to over come an instate school with an OV left to help them that proved last year that it could win over a top WR recruit in Q Davis. I think its more like 50-50 now vs UNC but this visit could put UT as the leader.

Great update, Ryan! Nice to see him and Dad coming back in the heat of recruiting season on an un-official. This gives Coach Jones and company every possible chance to win North over.

Would like to say he will not OV UNC after UTs unofficial but I still think he goes bc of how they have recruited him. But I think he is done after that visit.
IF he is picking UT I wish he could announce prior to NSD and help our class momentum and help us recruit others but he does not seem like a kid that likes this process at all (which is not awful either)

well the first half of what you told us ryan ide say ut leads..but the last half ide say north c..leads..but him coming on his dime and wanting to meet players and the rest of the coaches..he might comitt on campus this weekend?
carr telling jrm hes still tight with tenn and might land north..this might end up
being a better class then we all thought.
do we beat vandy in recruiting this year?i sure hope so

The day UT does not have a better class than Vandy.....I will start fishing on Saturdays. Even rankings can lie too.....
Its like the 2009 class.......I wouldnt want that class ever again at UT.

In my (uneducated) opinion, I'd say if he clicks with our new staff, he will be a VFL. If he wasn't interested in playing a WRU, he would have bailed long ago when the last staff was let go. IMO, which is often wrong, he wants to come to UT, but wants to get comfortable with the new staff first. Really hope this visit goes well.

What a HUGE pickup it would be to sign Marquez North. He is a big time WR. And I really do think it is to our advantage that he is coming this weekend. Got a lot of big recruits coming in with excitement and buzz. Nothing against NC, but I think we are the ones to beat in this race. Vols!!

This is such a great kid. Not only is he a fantastic athlete but he has had the best handle on the recruiting process from any prospect I have seen in a long time.
