It does Tennessee no good to wait until after the NC game to make the announcement unless the new coordinator is coaching in the NC game.
If we have the splash hire tomorrow would be a great day to announce the hire so we can maybe grab a little of the spotlight that is now focused on Alabama and LSU.

Tennessee could resurrect Vince Lombardi tomorrow and not make the screen crawl. It's going to be all LSU/Bama all night long.

Speaking just for myself, but I'm over all this guessing and speculation. I feel like our recruits, commitments and players are ready for some kind of announcement. Like to have a "name hire" but will support whoever it is.

Please, someone tell me there is no truth to the Zook rumor. I have supported Derek Dooley, but if he hires Zook, I'll have to go to the negative side.
Zook still leaves a bad taste in the mouths of a lot of us over the age 35 or 40 for his part in Faxgate with former UT grad Jack Sells when Zook was an assistant at Florida.
I'd rather Dooley hire the Maryville College or Carson Newman DC than Ron Zook.
