So is it safe to assume that AJ is just being AJ at middle linebacker and there was no reason for Thigpen to mention him, or is he having trouble QB'n the D?

It's really amazing to hear every single one of the new coaches--well, I didn't hear Gillespie say it--talk about how the players are not in shape yet. I don't remember hearing that from a single coach last season. I love that these coaches have high standards of conditioning and physicality. It certainly showed to be lacking last year.
