Neal's comments are eye opening. This isn't a young team.. They have experience. Got to be able to handle adversity better than that. I asked this in another thread but what were our coaches doing when our players began to panick?

I thought the team quit well before that last drive. I thought the D didn't respond well to the two interceptions, and when we got down late in the game, we just quit playing. Call it frustration, lack of passion, whatever you want to call it, they gave up.

Same ole same ole as last year. This time though there are no excuses for lack of depth, speed, or talent. We have all of those. We just don't have the ability to step it up when things get tough.

I don't think I could bare to watch Dooley's post game press..Of all the past Vol big game whippings this one stings a lot..Iam not sure I have faith to believe we can bounce back against GA..One things for sure gonna get to see how much heart this team really has..Time to get Smokey's tail out from between his legs boys!!!

I agree. After the 80 yd run for the TD in the third that was it. Bray had nothing in his passes and the defense looked lost.

I'm hoping this team looks at this game and learns a lot about overcoming adversity.

I agree smasher423, lots to learn from and I think they will. This scar will be raw all season, I think that Kentucky loss last year helped this team to take the step they did in the off season. Now they need to accept this failure and learn from it to be able to continue the progression to be able to weather adversity in a close game. That's something new to them, we should show improvement in the next close game. If not well.,. We will cross that bridge when we have to.

I agree. +1 and 1. I'm still trying to figure out why our coaches couldn't keep our players motivated and focused. Maybe they also "gave up"? I don't know but it's disturbing.
