We live in an overreactionary world. Let's ignore the fact that the Vols will have a vast improvement at the head coaching spot and that it's likely James Franklin could cash in on his success at perennial bottom-feeder and leave.

So at what point do we start asking for the Athletic Director's job? I have never been convinced that Dave Hart, an Alabama guy, is the right guy for Tennessee. If Dooley is not PUBLICLY fired tomorrow, we need to question whether this AD has the chops for the job.

I've seen some Tennessee teams but this is by far the worst coaching staff for ol Rocky Top

Yes, the announcers are giving in to sensationalism. That said, we do look in a league all our own tonight...a terrible, terrible league.

I have been watching Tennessee football since 1981. This is the absolutely worst coaching job I have seen! Even in 1988, we closed out with 5 straight wins. In 2008, we had a great defense. Dooley is the worst coach in our history!!!,

The real question is: who's the replacement hire gonna be? Hart didn't hire Dooley. I'll reserve judgement on Hart based on who the replacement is. It better be good. We can't screw this up. I just hope this is all done with class. Dooley did inherit a difficult situation. Was basically a panic hire very similar to the Shula hire at AL a few years back. Dooley isn't a bad guy, he has done a lot of good things for TN. He just can't win games. The only thing is, you gotta win games. I'm ready for the next chapter now.

The worst part of this feeling is that it doesn't hurt as bad as it should. Apathy has set in. I should be livid right now. *yawn* It's bedtime, goodnight. Go Vols...or whatever. I guess I should be thankful that I am gonna save all that money on a bowl trip.
