That's what I like to hear. Let's start the season off rigjt. With a big W in that win column. For those at the game , cheer on our team with all your heart and watch our boys take the fight to the wolfpack remember "...there is nothing stronger than the heart of a Volunteer." Go Vols!!!!

Hey yo, we are here in the big Hotlanta representing the orange and white from Tennessee, and I ain't talkin bout Easy E. Chico, we bout to whip up on the fake Wolfpac from Raleigh in the Georgia Dome. Tyler Bray is gonna make them look like a little punk jobber with about 260 yards passing and three touchdown passes on top of a nasty run game that will be sharper than the Razor's Edge. Because we V-O-L-S ... 4-Life and the Big Orange Nation is just... toooo sweeeet!

Excited for the game tonight. Here is what really excites me:

1) Seeing the new defense. I was much higher on Justin Wilcox's defense than most of you, but I am also very excited to see the new, more aggressive Tennessee defense in action.

2) Justin Hunter back on the damned field.

3) Rajion Neal having the opportunity to rack up some significant yardage against an inexperienced and somewhat undersized front 7 from NC State.

Things that concern me:

1) Tyler Bray trying to force too many throws for whatever reasons.

2) Jim Chaney's play calling. I know a lot of people on this board are big fans of Chaney, including Wes. I still don't think he's done much to disprove the idea that he's in a bit over his head, as he hasn't had a great gameplan against anyone better than Cincinnati last year. In his defense, this is the first time he's had an experienced offense at every position, but he gets no benefit of the doubt.

3) That if the front 7 does fail to get significant pressure, the defensive secondary will really suffer. I think it's pretty fair to say that the secondary is the weakest group on the entire team, and without enough pressure from the front 7, it could be a long night.

I am excited, but extremely cautious about tonight's game. In my mind, Tennessee should win because of the gap in athletes and overall talent, but until they prove it (especially Dooley/Chaney), I reserve concerns. Please please please prove me wrong tonight, Tennessee.

I'm ready... I'm nervous.... But I'm ready to see Bray, Hunter, Patterson, and Neal to put on the greatest offensive explosion to ever hit the dome...

The boss just sent me the - "start your weekend early" - email, that means I'm out and on my way home for pregame festivities then kickoff! So pumped...Vandy vs USCe was a nice teaser for the first weekend of a brand new season, but tonight's the main feature!

First post on the board. Just signed up to see what this is all about. Tonight, for me is all about seeing if the program is headed in the right direction or if we're gonna need to hit the reset button again at the end of this season. I'm really hoping we get the season started off in the right way with a huge W tonight.
