He didn't lie to us, just to the NCAA. I would welcome him back. I bet I have had over a hundred different people ask me if we could ever get him back. I believe he would come back if asked...JMO.

Really...you're seriously suggesting that it's time to pull the plug on CCM 1.5yrs into his gig? I've said it before...this whole instant gratification epidemic running thru college sports is delusional. It's one thing to constructively question what's going on with the program, but BringBruceBack or whatever...I'm living in an alternate reality I guess. Moving on...

We have to give CCM 3 years to see what he can do, then I think a decision could be made after that, but It's too early to throw in towell now.

Bruce won instantly. Cuonzo gets worse with every game. I don't dislike Cuonzo as a person, but any high school coach can break a 2-3 zone.
Nobody had to defend Bruce like this...

Yes he lied to the NCAA. If Dave Hart wouldn't let Charlie Strong bring Clint Hurt, he isn't going to hire Pearl.
Besides, the NCAA would make TN life hell. Bruce would have to be squeaky clean and bball recruiting is A LOT more shadier than football recruiting.

They called several fouls on you guys and there was NO contact! This doesn't feel like a good win! Messy game on both sides and the worst officiating I have seen in my life! Most be replacement refs!

So you really think that the NCAA will hold a grudge on Pearl no matter where he goes? I really miss Pearl here, but I am having a hard time getting into bball and moving on post Pearl. I think he would be welcomed back with open arms by fans, but I just didn't know about the administration.

Pearl was a great coach and I miss having him, but there's no possible way Hart would stake his reputation to that rehire. Pearl did lie and was caught very publicly, and I just don't think Hart would pull that trigger.
I'm not saying Cuonzo is the answer, because I just don't know enough to break down the game in that manner. I do think we look pretty bad this year, but everybody knows that. Basketball seems to be so hyper-cyclical the way one player can have such a significant impact on a game (see Ole Miss). I'm just hopeful that we can pull together soon enough to gain some momentum into the end of the year and beginning of next year.
