OFFICIAL Summer Olympics 2012 (MIGHT BE SPOILERS)

Is it just me, or is this coverage of the Cycling Road Race just not very good? There are no caption boxes showing who is leading, how much further the cyclists have to go, how fast they are going... Also, an occasional map of the course would be nice.
It's just a lot different than the Tour de France coverage, which helps the viewer out a lot more. I've been watching table tennis and Serena Williams first round match since this is so bad.

Cycling on for this long is just bad coverage lol

You know NBC is trying their best to save money, and cutting back on how they cover minor sports is the most predictble way to do it.

It is going to be difficult to try and not hear if Phelps or Lochte won the 400 IM before they show it tonight. I think the actual race is at 2:30 pm our time, but they aren't showing the replay until primetime tonight. Kind of like this morning it was leaked that Phelps barely qualified for the final, and then they waited to show the qualifying swims until about half an hour ago. I may have to delete my Twitter app until this evening!!

Surely they will show Lochte vs. Phelps live. It happens at 2:30 est this afternoon. Although Dan Patrick was talking to Al Michaels about it being on tonight in primetime.

But with the umbrella of channels NBC is using, you would think some of this stuff would be live. I remember some of the events live from Beijing last Olympics.

What is the phone app to watch it live? I have the NBC Olympics app for the iphone, but can't find anything on it that lets me watch an event live.

2 60" HDTVs tuned to Olympic channels.
1 stream via nbcolympics.com on my work computer
1 stream on my laptop
1 stream on my iPad
1 stream on my Nexus 7

I have no trouble staying away from either one. I play NBC's game and see events when they show them.
I even do that during football season. I've often played golf during road afternoon games, never checking in on the game on purpose. Then I come home and watch the game like it's live with a cold one. I don't even have to suffer through the commercials.
