The Braves have been quietly rebuilding the lineup to resemble what they had in the 90s during that incredible run of division titles. The desire to limit costs over the last several years is also giving Atlanta the flexibility to now go after some players that would have been priced out of their range in the past.

I was just telling my roommate Monday how ready I am for baseball season to start up. I think if the Braves add Justin Upton, they have to be in the top 2-3 in the national league. Without him they are already in the top 5 in my opinion. Besides a Tennessee football National Championship, there is nothing in this world I want to see more than for the Braves to win a World Series!

I didn't really put then in batting order just the order I thought of them. I would have Prado or Simmons batting lead off.

Ryan will be here in a minute to talk about how his OBP makes him a good player but his OBP is only like .315 over the last 4 years. Dude is an easy out, he doesn't move runners over, and he doesn't get timely hits. Last year, his BA with RISP was .217 but hey it was a whopping .232 in 2011 and .234 in 2010. Big mistake by the Braves

I'm not saying Upton's recent OBP has been great, but that's because his average has been pretty terrible. But there's always the hope that he could revert back to his pre-2009 form. In 2007, he hit .300 with a .386 OBP. In 2008, he hit .273 with a .383 OBP thanks a career-high 97 walks. The problem for Upton last year was that he drew a career-low 45 walks.
Upton still has the potential to be a good on-base guy. His recent track record isn't good, but I'm just saying the potential is there, especially with him moving to the National League.

I don't know. Lets see how it plays out the first season. Maybe a change of scenery is what he needs.
