OT: Best HS Basketball Player You've Seen in Person...

Tomorrow night my pops and I are going to Villanova for the District Championships for Public School Philly area Teams...
I've seen John Salmons+Matt Carroll square off, both NBA players.
Tomorrow night Lower Merion (Where Kobe Bryant went to HS) squares off with Chester HS where the #18 player on 247 Rondae Jefferson plays. He's going to Arizona FWIW...
Anybody see any stud HS players in person? Just curious. The Atlanta posters may take this one home.

Easy: Allen Iverson in the Virginia state semifinals his junior year. Put up 37 points, including 4 or 5 dunks and 4 or 5 3's. Just electric, and he wasn't going head-to-head with a schlub PG on the other team. Also saw Alonzo Mourning and Grant Hill, but AI was just unstoppable.

Damn that's awesome. My favorite player of all time. Have a few of his shoes buried in my closet to.

Went to Cleveland High with Vincent Yarbrough he was pretty good. I remember watching CJ Black shatter a back board in high school playing cleveland in the mid 90s

I haven't been very fortunate at seeing many good bball players, but when I was in high school I would go watch Giles county games to see Tyler Smith.

This doesn't really compare to some of you guys stories, but I am from a really small town in West TN. The high school I went to one year got absolutely destroyed about 3 times one year by Boliver Central Highschool, because they had both Wayne Chisem and Willie Kemp. Chisem obviously signed with UT the next year and Kemp was signed by Memphis.

I would have to say Mercer as well. Played against him when he was at Goodpasture. Egads was that ever a mismatch. Comical to watch, I'm sure.

I played against Derek Hord when he was at Bristol and Elston Turner when he was at AE. Those two were unreal. That AE team had a bunch of great players.

Jerry Stackhouse @ Oak Hill. They used to play in the McDonalds Tournament here. Oak Hill would crush people, beat John Battle like 113 to 5.
Saw Ron Mercer play for Oak Hill too. Got both their autographs.
