Saw this thread on another board and thought it would be an interesting topic to discuss here. Who is the one player in Tennessee history that you feel has disappointed the most? We're talking kids who came in here with a lot of hype, but for some reason (be it personal problems, lack of player development, etc.) did not pan out. I'm a young guy, so for me it's LaMarcus Coker. The kid had big play ability, and even showed it during a few games, but for some reason could not keep his head on straight. I think it broke Phil's heart to dismiss him, because he really wanted things to work out for that kid. Anyways, please discuss and have a great day! GBO!!
1st that comes to my mind is Bryce Brown
Brian Darden, Daniel Brooks, Kenny O'Neal, the offensive line class of 2002, Sal Sunseri, Dave Clawson
Half of Kiffin's '09 class:
Bryce Brown, Nuke, Darren Myles Jr., Janzen, David Oku, Mike Edwards....

"People think I'm the greatest damn coach in the world, but Neyland taught me everything I know" -Bear Bryant
Yeah him too plus 1
The one I always think of first, for some reason, is Daniel Brooks.
He seemed like a decent kid in interviews, but apparently his mentality off the field was, "punch face first, ask questions later."
Some of the stories about the fights he got in were just freaking hilarious.
without a doubt, Brian Darden.. i remember watching the old Countdown to Signing day shows with Tom Lemming and the videos they showed of Darden were absolutely sick. i was ecstatic when he committed to us. he was as cant miss as there was. Came to UT and literally could not put one foot in front of the other.

Yeah. He really screwed the pooch. He could have been our best TE ever had he kept his nose clean. Fast and big with excellent hands. I remember we were loaded at DE and Fulmer moved him to TE. hated to see him be thrown out.
Kenny O'Neal, Chris Donald, Daniel Brooks, Kiffin's class... So many in every school's history though.
Bryce Brown hands down. Especially seeing what he did this year with the Eagles. Close second to Chris Donald.

Im also a young guy and I'd say Bryce Brown first, and Coker was also a big dissapointment.
#RiseToTheTop #RoadTo7 "Give him six"
Banks didn't go all 4 years to UT. He transferred to Carson Newman and didn't do anything after that. BUST
