I didn't think the Upton's were classified as power hitters. I could be wrong on this but I never really though of either of them as the power hitters in the lineup.

As someone else said here a couple of weeks ago, no knock on the Braves, but they don't have the best outfield in baseball. Mike Trout, Peter Bourjos and Josh Hamilton are the Angels' projected starters in the outfield. Give me those three over the Braves' outfield any day, although the Braves' outfield is very good.
Here's a very detailed, very fair breakdown of this topic from a Braves fan site, which actually happens to reach the same conclusion I did:

Honestly, no. Right now there are too many big holes in a lineup that's missing the 2 most consistent hitters from a season ago. With the additions of the Uptons, the Braves are no doubt a powerhouse but if our Starting rotation under achieves like last year I got a feeling it could be a long June and July. I love my Bravos, but with question marks on Simmons, both Uptons, Uggla, and McCann I can't justify putting them at 2nd behind a heavy Dodgers or Angels.

I tend to discount the American League altogether. Any league where pitchers don't have to hit and some guy who doesn't even play defense does shouldn't be classified as playing real baseball.

NL pitchers do that and still can't hit. At least AL pitchers face nine real batters. Pitchers will never hit, ever. Fill that spot with a real hitter. No freebies.
