OT: Buying 2012-13 Basketball Jerseys...?

  • I wanted to pose a question, mainly to those who live in Knoxville now or frequent there...so any information you can share is greatly appreciated (as I now live in NY).

    I've been looking for a place to buy a men's basketball jersey, specifically the 2012-13 editions that have these sleek new looks. I communicated with Tom Satkowiak, the men's basketball SID (who is a great guy by the way). He didn't even know how to do so when I first asked, but then he found out via the university that certain retailers can sell them, only if they choose to carry them. I find this hard to comprehend, as I was in Knoxville this Thanksgiving and looked at campus stores and stores on the strip and didn't see any.

    Does anyone know anyone who has purchased one of this year's jerseys? I just think it'd be neat to own and I love this year's look with the shoulder embroidery. Think it's a shame that the university is not more proactive in making these available as they could make the school some money and promote the team more.

  • Hey Kevin,

    Thanks for sharing, but these are not exactly the ones i'm looking for. This is what has made the challenge of finding these so great. I've seen the ones you've posted on lots of different sites, but I just cannot find this year's versions. The differences are the embroidered shoulders and of course they changed the shorts this year (with all those miniature T's), but mainly it's the jersey I'm looking for.
