The CheckerBoard

I'm from the same place that Chad is from--Martin, TN. He's a great guy. I was born in 1989, so he is quite a bit older than me. But my mother, who is a principal now but was a teacher when Chad was in high school, used to tutor him. I don't know if this was so he could improve his grades to meet Tennessee's admissions requirements or if he just simply wanted to make better grades. But anyways, he would come over to our house on weeknights for tutoring sessions with my mom. (I can still see him coming through our front door and having to duck haha he was huge even then) But after every session, he and I would always play Super Mario World on my Super Nintendo. One of my favorite childhood memories.

My family and I also know Will Ofenheusle and Justin Harrell. I'm sure you all remember them. They are both from Martin, as well.
