OT: Do Your Duty and Vote

  • Hello everyone,

Just wanted to post a quick reality check. The Presidential election is nearing and pretty soon it will be time to go to the polls and vote for our next President. I urge all of my fellow Vol fans to do their part and vote. I spent the majority of my life in foreign lands in support of the red, white, and blue. Some countries had rigged elections, and some countries didn't have elections at all. I can only assume that if you've never been outside the United States it's hard to realize just how great of a country we live in. It is a great privilege to vote. Please don't throw that right away.

Also, before going to the polls, please do yourself and your country a favor and spend a good hour or two and research the two men running for office. Please don't let a news network or some TV personallity make your decision for you. It's your choice. Make the most of it.

Thank you, God Bless our country, and Go Big Orange.

    Hardly.

I support the OP. Be informed, and go vote. Amurika.

Thanks for your service in helping us maintain the ability to have our freedom of choice and freedom of speech.

I agree with your plea for everyone to excercise their right to vote...

If you don't vote, then you have no right to complain....

    and more importantly...

vote early and vote often (only if you support my candidate).

  • I am totally informed. Maybe you should open your eyes & find out what the real issue is. Don't believe your history books or what you've been told. Trust me, MENSA didn't give me a 142 for being "uninformed"...

Right on, something neither of these candidates know anything about!

  • Whoever keeps down voting me needs to get real, don't kid yourself thinking the next President will make a difference. Believe me, being a Democrat within a political family is very difficult especially since I won't vote for the Democratic Representative. Won't vote for the other guy either, neither one gives a crap about us any way. While you're at it, why not find out why our votes will be counted by a George Soros ran company IN SPAIN!

  • This is why we don't have political or religious threads on the board. As harmless as this OP is, it never ends well.

Careful, guys. It's OK to say people should vote, but try to stay away from stating political opinions. Thanks.

I'm in the same boat. I'm a conservative, who won't vote R or D, just to pick the lesser of two evils. Too many people vote who are uniformed, and don't even know what their party's platform is. Also, most people just vote R or D, based on what their friends and family vote. There are no true people in Washington who care. If they weren't corrupt before they got there, a few $1,000 handshakes later they are.
