I have a salt and pepper miniature schnauzer and she may be the smartest dog I've ever had.. She acts a little crazy when she's alone and chews on everything but she's still my buddy.. My family had to put down their 15 year old chocolate lab... It sucks to lose a friend of that many years.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. I'm a man and I am not the least bit ashamed to admit that I cried like a baby when I lost my dog, Sable. I got her for my 10th birthday in 1999, and she died on my 21st birthday in 2010. She was my best friend in the world and losing her was like losing a family member. It was something that I didn't get over for a very long time. I know how difficult this can be. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
The photo below was taken of my dog, Sable, on her last Christmas--just about 2 and a half months before she died. She was one of a kind!

We could tell Graci to go find her ball or toy in "the bedroom" or in the "hall" and she would know where to go. Last trick she learned was to "speak". Lost her hearing last years so she couldn't perform much but if I sat down on the floor and put my hand out she'd still shake it.
