Van Pelt shot a 59 there yesterday during the Pro-Am..so its definitely doable..

Played the course a few weeks ago...it is prime for the picking. Hardly any rough and what little rough happens to be there is very thin.

Damn impressive. Where was his game last week? He sucked it up at Torrey Pines, although I do realize it's a much harder course.

a few years ago Phil shot 59 in the PGA Grand Slam of Golf (for the 4 major winners each year).........he missed about a 10-15 ft putt for 58 and tapped in for 59.

I will be out there tomorrow and Saturday. Though I would have loved to see him shoot 59, I was going to be super bummed he did it today. The fans out here love him and I am sure were insane anyway.
