  • I grew up watching wrestling with my dad and I fell in love with it as a child. After HBK, Stone Cold, The Rock, Bret Hart, and all the 90's and early 2000's greats retired, I stopped watching it until recently. Triple H and Randy Orton kept my attention enough to watch it every once in a while. It just seemed like there wasn't many superstars with much talent or charisma like the Attitude Era and ol' WCW. But recently, some of my friends got me back into watching it and I'm happy with the direction of the company.

Name your favorite active superstars and why.
My favorites right now are Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler. Ziggy oozes charisma and can steal the show. And Orton is just down right good. I was a huge HBK and Sting fan back in the day. I would cry if Sting ever lost haha.

  • I've been to two WWE events. The first was in the early 90s at the UTC Roundhouse. I remember seeing Hogan vs Earthquake in a stretcher match, Undertaker, and the Ultimate Warrior. The most lasting memory was UT walking the rope. The second time was here in Anchorage the day of the Super Bowl between the Giants and Ravens - both the Raw and Smackdown crews came en route to a Japan tour. I had floor seats, and saw Taker walk the ropes again. It was like I had turned 12 all over again. Of course that event also had Orton, HHH, HBK as well.

    That's awesome.
I've only been to one event and that was about 15 years ago in Jackson, TN. Sting wrestled Flair and it was epic.

  • I quit watching 5-10 years ago. It seemed like it had gone really south IMO. Not the same was when Sting and Flair or the Road Warriors or Steve Austin and the Rock (who I heard was back now) and the Hulk and many others were there in wrestling in the mid to late 90s.

Best age of wrestling was back in the early to mid 80s then again in the mid to late 90s and about 10 years ago it got less and less enjoyable.

I agree. It's not the same, for sure.

True. But it's not about whether wrestling is real or not, I hope everyone on here agrees that it's a show haha. It's more about the entertainment and showmanship. Basically a male soap opera.

Male soap is correct. Can be good tv if it is well written and actually thought out. Well booked as they say in the biz.

  • I was a big stone cold fan back in the day now its gotta be the viper Randy Orton.

  • Rarely watch these days, but the Undertaker has always been my favorite. Loved the story line a few years back with the Taker and Kane, as well as with Stone Cold. flex

I attended the show tonight in Nashville. It was great! If you've never watched a show in person I would HIGHLY recommend it!

    That's awesome.
I didn't know that The Rock had ties to Nashville until tonight.

I read somewhere that he apparently went to high school briefly in Nashville.

I didn't know that either until tonight. I'm glad he shared that story though. It was hilarious!

  • The last event I went to was years ago. As we were leaving a limo pulled up and the ultimate warrior asked my mom would she like to take a ride. She said no because it was us 2 kids and her... I'm still pissed that crazy son of a gun isn't my step daddy
