I think he thought he had the record until the sideline reporter told him otherwise.

I bet his team mates were keeping him posted thru the game. It would be hard not think about it tho....that is one heckuvan accomplishment. Shoot, 2,097 yrds is too!

Hard to argue that. Both he and Peyton coming off of potentially career ending injuries/surgeries. They both have been remarkable this year.

They both came back from what could have been career ending injuries to have spectacular years. Tough call for me because I am all about Peyton, but you gotta love Peterson. Peyton for MVP and AD for Offensive POY would be my vote.

AP has got to be the favorite, IMO. That's one of the game's premier records and to come that close coming off major knee surgery is pretty remarkable.

That would be fair.....Unless you are a die hard Vikings fan. AP is very deserving either way, as is Peyton. I think they would all be happy with that decision tho.
