Not a slam on Clemson (or their fans), but how can they not be better than they are? It seems like they get (or are in the final mix for) a lot of big time recruits. They seem to always have good recruiting classes, but are never seem to be in the mix for a NC. It seems like they underachieve.

2012 Orange bowl. It wouldn't matter how many points Clemson could put up... they can't stop anyone else from scoring. They could compete in the SEC, but they would get burned in a lot of games in the SEC too. Their offensive numbers would come down quite a bit if they had to run the SEC gauntlet. That's true for about any team that outside the SEC that would try to come on an compete. There's a big adjustment of how things are played in the SEC. Defense Defense Defense
