  • Also apparently Stanford has quit... They are playing a team that has not quite the offense that Arkansas has and they look like they have quit. They have given up 53... Stanford needs to begin looking for a new coach too I suppose right?

Don't forget about auburn either... They might need a new coach after that brutal beatdown they received from Georgia and LSU.

Great point. The team that won the national championship just 10 months ago has only two more wins than a Tennessee team that's approaching the end of a brutal rebuilding period while simultaneously dealing with injuries to three of its best players. If that doesn't give you an idea of how cyclical college football is, I'm not sure what will.

great point Ryan BUT the big difference is that Auburn as you stated just won a National Championship last year so it makes the pain of a season like this one a little more bearable

Yes, but Auburn has the same type of youth Tennessee has. They have lost 3 conference games this by 24 points per game.

"only two." if tennessee had "only two" more wins, Dooley would deserve a raise. Chizik got more out of his team this year than Dooley has of UT. Auburn wasn't expected to do anything this year. 5-6 wins was about the norm. He'll get them to 7.

agreed but again just saying that having lost the National Championship just 9 months ago ( the joy of winning it all , being better than anyone else for that year ) along with losing the number one player in the country and 17 other sr's is bound to take the sting out of a season like they are having this year . Florida is having a tough year this year as well but trust me they remember their two recent NC like they were yesterday . We have nothing to hinge our disappointments on other than the hope that the program is going in the right direction ( which i believe it is )
