  • Glad to see this thread bumped. I've been so busy at work the last couple of weeks, I've not had a chance to follow the EPL much. Anything major happened?

Liverpool got robbed of a victory in stoppage time on a phantom offside call on Suarez. And Man U is dominating Chelsea early on @ Stanford Bridge.

  • Mr. Dive Suarez should have been red carded and not even in the match after that Achilles stomp on Distin. Karma baby! BTW hid front teeth were certainly offsides.

I hate Suarez as much as the next person but that wasn't a red. Wasn't close. He was making a play on the ball. Suarez was a stud today, best player on the pitch by far.

  • Can't believe Chelsea has tied this up

  • Man U with the goal! Crazy sequence there

  • I'm very happy that United got the 3 points, but it wasn't without controversy.

The red on Ivanovic was deserved. He took Young out to stop the chance at a goal. The card on Torres was a crock. Like Warren Barton said after the match, Torres keeps going and doesn't avoid the collision, he either breaks Evans' leg or his own. I don't have a problem with the refs carding guys for flopping, but I just don't see where that was a flop. On the Hernandez goal, I think it was very close. I'm going to say he was onsides, but maybe that is the United homer in me also. It was very, very close and is another reason they need goalline technology. It was a great match and it's a shame it had this much controversy in it.

As for the Liverpool-Everton match, I hate Liverpool as much as the next person, but I think that they got robbed. Suarez was in no way offside. The replays clearly showed that he wasn't. The only thing I could see that could have been called is that the Liverpool guy climbed on the Everton player's back to head the ball to Suarez. If that was the call then I have no problem with it, but if the call was offsides then it was terrible. And Suarez should not have received a red for stepping on the Everton player's achilles earlier in the match. He was going for the ball and they just happened to lock up. I cannot stand Suarez, but that was just a hard play there.

I forgot to DVR this match, and I'm so mad about it.

Yea, it said all games would be live. I'm assuming most thru online stream.

Still will have to watch Fox soccer for Champions League matches

Maybe they can lure Ian Darke and McManaman over to NBC since ESPN will not be showing any EPL games after this season.

  • I absolutely loved watching Southampton take City down today. If United can take care of business tomorrow then that puts them up by 12 points. Everton will be tough, but I like United's chances at Old Trafford. Glory, Glory Man United!

I love soccer, due to FIFA on Xbox. Still don't have a team yet, told myself I'd pick one this year.

I'm the same way, except I also played soccer. I think I'm going to give Fulham or Everton a try. Probably Everton

Man City is falling apart. Battle for 3rd-6th will be the most intriguing battle... Good luck on Wednesday, very much looking forward to that game

That will be the game of this round. I honestly don't know if United can take Real or not. United's defense is shaky, so that concerns me. The good thing is, Real Madrid is definitely beatable, so I'm hoping for possibly a draw at the Bernabeu and then get them at Old Trafford.

You're right on the 3rd-6th battle. Very good race right now and will get even more interesting if City keeps falling apart. I would like to see a team like Everton sneak into the top 4, but I'm not sure they have the team to do it.

  • Got to like United's chances now with them being up by 12 points. They honestly seem to be getting better as the season goes along, so hopefully this bodes well for their Champions League hopes. Impressive win today IMO.
