  • The BS red card changed the whole match. MUFC outplayed RM the entire match up until that point. Ibgive ceedit to RM for making plays after the card, because they dis. arill yet, It's a shame that the referee ultimately decided this match.

Refs in the international scene tend to be caught up in the moment quite frequently...

  • ManU and Chelsea end in a 2 all tie today in the FA Cup match. Chelsea dominated that second half and almost pulled out a win

  • Not Champion's League, but still soccer related (and even a UK tie-in). Trust me, you'll want to watch this one!!

• Started seeing this was possible late last night on Twitter. As a United fan, I hate to see him go. A lot of good times was brought by him.

Will be interesting to see who replaces him. The popular pick will be Mourinho, but also seen where Moyes and Klopp were mentioned too. Either of the three would be excellent replacements IMO.

  • For one, I love playing and watching soccer. Obviously european football is the best out there and the only professional soccer I will watch, but a more interesting question I think is WHY/HOW did you become a fan of your favorite team when they are across the pond? Not saying this is everyone, but I have friends who like ManU really just bc they have been the well known, dominate team in the Premiere League forever. I just like when people have a legit reason to be a fan of a team and not just a bandwagon.

I'll start off by saying I am a Liverpool supporter because when I was younger I played club soccer and we had a former Reds player do a clinic for our team. So I always liked them, but didn't really follow them. I'm also a huge Red Sox fan and John Henry bought Liverpool a few years back, so now I love them and follow every game. YNWA

  • Been big in soccer/futbol for a good while. Started out watching with no favorite. Kind of wanted to see what players I liked, the manager, how the team was run, etc. After a while of watching I always ended up pulling for Manchester United because of all of the reasons stated above. The rest is history.

  • A lot of chatter that Moyes (Everton) will be named as early as tomorrow Ferguson's replacement.

I've really just started following European soccer the last couple of years. I don't have a favorite club yet. I've followed it more this year than ever though. It's hard to watch MLS after watching the EPL

  • Moyes would be an excellent replacement IMO. I keep hearing he hasn't had success in Europe, but he's not at a club built to win in Europe either. He's done a heck of a job at Everton considering they don't spend a lot of money. I think he would so well at a club that will spend money to upgrade. United is not in the PSG, Chelsea, Manchester City category of spending, but they will spend to upgrade.

Moyes contract expires at the end of the season, so this is the logical choice based on the way United spends.

Mourinho would cost $20 million just to get him out of his Real Madrid contract, so I don't see United paying that. Will be surprised if Chelsea doesn't pay it to bring him back.

Personally, I think Klopp from Dortmund would be the ideal choice, but he seems to be loyal and I don't see him leaving -- unless he gets tired of losing his top players.
