Well bummer. The prospect of playing SEC ball would have swayed him our way last year. Having new teams, esp one from Texas, will hurt our recruiting more than help, in my uneducated sorry opinion.

I understand recruiting, but to do this to a coaching staff this way is just sh**ty. I hope he fails at A&M. He needs to learn to grow up and be a man.

They had a coaching change. You have to expect turnover when you do. Our coaches found out AFTER he faxed his papers to A&M that he was no longer a Vol.

At least he gave our staff a courtesy call after the fact unlike Autry and D. Jacobs, so I'll rescind the part about hoping he fails. I just don't care either way.

He still didn't handle it the right way.

I'm most disappointed in Damien Jacobs. Otis is replaceable. I just hate that he comes across as being a complete liar. Seems like a good kid overall.

Hard to believe A&M convinced him on our depth chart. I mean, we finished 5-7 last year.

Just hope this doesn't start a trend, Santos is a former A&M prospect.

Technically... if he's over 18 he's not a kid anymore

It's still a kick in the shorts to UT's 2011 recruiting. There are some other rumblings out there of kids who've been committed to us longer than a few days who are still weighing their options -- Damien Jacobs, Dalton Santos, LaDarrell McNeil, maybe others. Let's hope this change of heart doesn't turn into a trend...

You can't lose to Kentucky and go 5-7 with no bowl and expect that other programs won't use it against you, whether they get in a kids ear and tell them that Dooley will be gone after next year or that he can't develop talent. It doesn't matter what the underlying reality is.
