Amen brother. I think we have a few tight games this fall, and he may be the difference in a win or loss. I miss the Jeff Hall days.

I want Palardy to do well cuz I like him, but at this point I'm hoping George Bullock can either take his spot or light a fire under him.

We need the Shepherd kid I heard about and mentioned earlier this spring. He's the one who out-punted the other guys earlier. Good FG kicker too, but I understand he's focused on punting.

Agreed. I said it last year and will repeat it now - Palardy is broken. Entering his third year he has been consistent - consistently bad. If you're Dooley, you can't let a head case kick for you in this pivotal year.

I really think the title of the thread should change a little. Clearly, he is not effective, but calling him garbage is a little much.

It doesn't take an individual performing well on the field to deserve to be treated with more dignity than to be referred to as garbage. The onus is on you to justify the term, not Palardy or another poster. I don't think ANY rational Tennessee fan is going to defend Palardy's performance, but you took it another step to question his value as a person. Whole different, and altogether inappropriate, level.

Let's not sugarcoat this guys. I understand not wanting to stoop to the level of TOS but not allowing words that perfectly describe certain players will chase subscribers back over there IMO. Everyone knows what palardy is, let them vent. Might as well Tell everyone there is no Easter bunny as well

Umm ... no. Look, you can say you don't think a player is all that good. There's no problem with that. But referring to a player — or, well, pretty much anyone — as "garbage" or anything else that would qualify as a personal attack isn't what we're about here. I don't think anyone is going to be chased away by the fact that we prefer not to have personal attacks on our board.

At game, and watched Palardy during warmup. He looks better physically, and was getting the kicks near the goal line. He will be a junior this year. Just my observation that he will get it all together before game day, and we will all be surprised. It takes some players two years to get adjusted. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt for the coming year, and if it don't work out, the options are great.

I sat behind the white team during the orange and white game, I noticed a few things about Palardy..... He sat on the bench a lot, he did get up and practice his kicks some, stayed mostly to himself. You could tell he was upset when he missed the field goal after he came off the field, no one said a word to him. For some reason he had some bright orange, black and yellow shoes on while playing, very different than the other players, idk if it was "kicking" shoes or just a ugly fashion statement, lol. Most of the team seemed relaxed, in a good mood, and payed attention to the game and coaches, but in my opinion, he didn't seem to be focused or very upbeat.
Hopefully he will continue to work and hopefully improve by fall, if not, he may be sitting on that bench a lot. Best of luck to him.

Kickers are notorious for being loners, marching to a different drummer or being just plain old weird. IMO, now that he's supposedly finally healthy, Palardy's biggest problem is squarely between the ears. I hope he finds some answers, but frankly he's running out of time and I'm sure Dooley's patience is wearing thin.
