Pay-per-view details for UT-Georgia State game

Here's the press release from UT:
Tennessee's home opener versus Georgia State on Saturday, September 8 in Knoxville will be televised on a pay-per-view basis across the state of Tennessee. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. CT.
The announcing team for the game telecast will be veteran broadcaster Randy Smith (play-by-play), former Vol quarterback Jeff Francis (color analyst) and Rick Russo (sideline).
Cable systems across the state of Tennessee are scheduled to carry the telecast from the VideoSeat pay-per-view service. Fans may begin contacting their local cable system this week to find out how to order the game and receive price information.
The game will also be made available as a pay-per-view event to Tennessee Dish Network subscribers and DirecTV subscribers. Channel numbers and ordering information for home dish owners will be released by Thursday, September 6.
ESPN GamePlan is expected to offer the game to fans living outside the state of Tennessee via the ESPN GamePlan package. The game will be blacked out on ESPN GamePlan in the state of Tennessee and cannot be ordered as part of ESPN's package.

I don't know about that. I don't think Kesling is good but Randy Smith makes Kesling look like Al Michaels.

Not yet. That won't be announced until next Monday, Sept. 10. Game times during the season are announced 12 days in advance of the game, except for the weeks when one of the networks exercises a seven-day option.

Getting ahead of myself, but if/when we beat Florida is the UGA game at 330 on CBS? I sure hope so, not a big fan of 7 pm or noon games.

There is certainly not another SEC game, and honestly outside of Oh. St vs Michigan St and Wisconsin vs Nebraska, there isn't a better game out there.

It does not make sense that they blackout the entire state of Tennessee. There are so many cities that are outside the state of Tennessee that are much closer to Knoxville than Memphis is. UT needs to figure something out how to better serve their fan base, especially since Shelby county has plenty of fans and the most enrolled students from any county (I'm pretty sure that's what the map in the UC shows). This also speaks volumes for why The University of Tennessee has so much trouble recruiting the Memphis area. Recruits can't go to bars to watch and I highly doubt they are going to rent it on PPV.
I have season tickets but I just am not able to make this ONE game and it infuriates me that I will have to pay AGAIN.

I've met Bob a couple of times. Very polite, very much a gentleman. His biggest flaw is that he followed a legend in John Ward.

Totally agree. We've been blessed to have some of the best sports personalities ever associated with UT, but that doesn't mean we can hold everyone to the standard of a legend like John Ward.
