  • New head coach next year is a possibility. Hart had to come into his new position with a charter to fix UT sports. We need to remember that this year with the same head coach, we had almost as much turnover, turmoil as if the head coach had changed. The past staff felt the heat coming from the CDD seat and left on their own terms while they could. The 2012 class and prospects are kids, but many have adult confidants who advise them from this perspective. There does not seem to be stability in the stars for the Big Orange. The CDD program seems to be going in the wrong direction in stability, recruiting, and wins. The only thing that is better since CDD took over is a better and larger roster of players, but even then, the talent gap is still pretty large when considering that in the SEC. If we are not going to pay for a proven winner with a name that will almost recruit by itself (read Myer at OSU), there does not seem to be a good light at the end of the tunnel.
I have been a CDD hopeful since the beginning when I heard his introductory speech. I wanted him to be successful so, so bad. I think in the end that it is his scientific mindset instead of an inspirational, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants, gut-following winner that might be his downfall.
Hopefully the Brinks truck will back up for Hart. We need to hire a proven winner with a name that will recruit by itself (read Myer at OSU). I really like Hart, and I honestly think he will be the Big Orange savior. The day is dark, but the future is bright. Hang in there another couple of years or so, and we will be running to the top again.
Somehow and at some point we will say GBO and watch them run.
