Peyton Manning

  • Ive seen a couple tweets out there about the colts and manning parting ways. Is there any validity or is this just speculation? I've been working all day and haven't seen any headlines.

  • I don't konw about the tweets, but I wouldn't bet that Manning will be in Indy next year. I would be very surprised.

  • AP filed a story this afternoon that Manning and Irsay had kissed and made up. But there is still no decision on Peyton's future with the Colts.

I have pulled for the Colts ever since Manning has been there. That being said, I'm finding it hard to pull for them now. I'm not sure that Jim Irsay has an ounce of class in his body (he seems sleazy to me). The way everything is going down at the moment I'm hoping Peyton is somewhere else next season and the Colts regret letting him go.

  • Peyton will not be back in Indy. Irsay is trying to rid the organization of anyone who would challenge him. They will take Luck with the first pick and move on from Peyton. It sucks to see a person of Peyton's skill and character being tossed aside, but it is a business and has to be run with long term success in mind. Peyton will end up on another team who is missing a key piece to make it to the SB (Jets, Dolphins, Arizona, etc). He'll have good success for the next 2-3 years and call it a career (and end up at UT as the OC and we'll be contenders for NC every single year with #1 recruiting classes....HA)

That's the big thing. I dont think I care for Irsay much, but look at it from his standpoint. he paid manning 28 Million this year and he didnt play at all. I know manning's been the face of that franchise and carried them, but it doesn't make any sense to pay him his huge 28 million roster bonus in a few weeks if he can't play. I like peyton, but I would be shocked if he ever takes a snap in indy again

I think that is a real possibility. The neck isn't an easy fix, as evidenced by three surgeries already.

If he faces the possibility of serious injury with the right kind of hit, he needs to retire.

  • I am a huge cowboys fan and would love to see him put on the star. Wishful thinking on my part but man that would be awesome. I'm not sure if Jerry Jones and he would be a good fit though. As a matter of fact, I'm not so sure Jones and the cowboys are even a good fit.

Jones is a piece of work but the guy will spend the dough which is 90% of the battle ; not sure about your new HC but i really like the guy , just not sure how good a head coach he is at this point . Jones will spend the money to bring a title to Big D its just a mater of time

  • I just heard today that right by the area of the spine that Peyton had fused are the nerves that control the Tricep. I've heard he's having a hard time regaining his strength in his throwing arm. Anybody else hear anything about this?

someone was talking about that yesterday , not good news for him if true ; i would think he would be one heck of a coach , its getting time for him to make that consideration shrug

sometimes when there arent many folks around on this site some of us go over to the Blue Board to post ; it can be a little crazy over there but there are also lots of folks over there posting about a number of crazy topics like : favorite gatorade flavor , why Al fans are arse's , which college has the hottest coeds , why a certain players mother is making her son go to LSU instead of OSU , what is the penalty going to be for Miami etc... there is not an easy way to get over there that i know of but i click on the football recruiting button at the top of the page , then click on one of the actual players names that come up( usually Sentimores name or anyones name in orange ) and then look at the top of the page and click on the board button and choose the Blue Board . Its fun to post stuff over there and you cant take anything serious but know that it is not controlled like it is over here - it can get pretty crazy ...just thought i would mention it to ya cheers
