Holy Moly, Looks like the Titans are a serious contender now

I have been trying to temper my expectations the past couple of days, but it's getting hard to keep my hopes in check. If this happens I might shed a tear of joy.

I'm right there with you. The excitement is starting to boil over. I'm fully expecting tears if and when that press conference happens. *knocks on wood*

i've always been a colt's fan and I hope he just retires. I don't want to see him get hurt or something worse. He's such a great person and he's got his head screwed on right.
I'm glad and hope he doesn't go to Denver because of Elway. He thoght he was to good to play for the Colt's. Manning showed what a class act is.
I wish him the best no matter what he does because he is a class act.
I still have to pull for the Colt's if Tenn. does sign him. I'm no band wagon jumper

I'm a die hard Titans fan but I can respect that. I have friends that were Colt fans just because of Peyton and now they don't know what they're going to do Haha.

I have never been a huge Titans fan, I was raised a Falcons fan, but this would be one of the coolest things to ever happen in sports if it did happen

The PR boost would be huge for both Manning and the Titans if he comes to Nashville. The question is whether or not the expectations get set too high for the team. Granted, expectations would be high for any team he signs with, but I'd wager they would be higher in Nashville because of the UT connection.

Yep, I agree. And the Titans' defense definitely needs some help before they could be considered anything close to a Super Bowl contender. They didn't have much of a pass rush last season. That's why the front office was planning to target Mario Williams until Bud forced their hand about Peyton.
A healthy Manning definitely could make the Titans a playoff team, though, especially with an offense that includes Kenny Britt, Chris Johnson and a really athletic tight end/receiver in Jared Cook. I'd say they quietly have better offensive weapons available for Manning than any of the other teams pursuing him, with the possible exception of the Cardinals. But a healthy Kenny Britt would somewhat cancel out Larry Fitzgerald.
