The numbers looked pretty darn good, but first-year Tennessee offensive line coach Sam Pittman said his group was just OK overall in the Vols' 35-21 win over N.C. State.

thanks for another great article wes. great info. i was pretty disapointed with the short yardage but some of that was not all their fault. over all though they improved and thats what you want.

Wes, good report, but I'm confused. Technique has been an emphasis since the end of the season. How can it still be an issue? Obviously, pass protection - typically the most difficult of the two between pass or run blocking - is above average if not real good. So, if all the emphasis was on fixing the run game, how can technique still be an issue? I don't get it.
