Possible changes in staff?

Just heard tonight that Dooley contacted Larry Porter earlier this evening. If true, you have to think it would be regarding coaching either OL or RBs, with my personal preference being RBs. I think he would be a dynamite hire at a "position of need," as we say in Recruitistanese. Anyone else hear any rumblings in this regard?

On a side note, wouldn't we all like to work in a field where we are fired in the morning and have new job offers in the evening?

Wow if this is true wonderful. He would be an unbelievable hire for so many reasons. Plus that would mean the door would be shown to one of the coaches on the offensive staff.

CAUTION: Rampant speculation to follow
The most likely change I would see, honestly, is Hiestand getting booted, Chaney taking OL along with OC and Porter taking RBs and co-recruiting with Joseph. He was Rivals national recruiter of the year in 07 and 09, helping build the LSU monster that we see this year.

We do need a OL coach. I hate to see anyone get fired but you got a job to do. We can't blow no one off the ball. I saw a lot of standing around Sat. I hope they get a coach and put some fire under them

there are going to be some changes. CDD likely to initiate some but I also have feeling some coaches are going to move on to greener pastures. These pastures have warmed up considerably in last couple of days.

I like the idea of keeping CHH and Russell going (the special teams are not special)! Let Chaney take over TE, and hire Porter to coach RB.

Hiestand will not be here next year. I suspect talks are already on-going with his replacement. Could be Stacy Searls who CDD wanted initially or Markuson (sp?) from Ole Miss who was also interviewed by Dooley last year. Personally, I think Jeff Grimes from Auburn is the best option if he would come?
