Postgame 2-4-7: Vols tame Tigers

  • Usually not one to comment on the officiating, but that missed call on O'Bryant for offensive goal tending was ridiculous. You could even hear the spring in the rim pop before he laid it in. To add insult to injury, replay showed two officials with perfect angles watching the shot. Big win nonetheless. Go Vols.

  • OK. Let me be the first to apoligize to CCM. Although I never publicly criticized him, I did have my doubts. Watching this team a month ago was akin to going to the dentist office. I am not a basketball expert by any means, but I will say that this is a good team. It takes an incredible amount of intestinal fortitude to go through those troubled times to become the team that they are now. Cudos to all of the players and the staff. Very impressive. It would have been easy for all the players to just quit this season and wait for next season. All I can say is Wow! The entire basketball team (players, staff, support) is doing the Vol Nation proud. Great to be a Tennessee Vol. Thank you CCM & team.

    Meh. If I were you, I'd rather be accused of screwing around every now and then to break up the "we love you, man" posts a little bit. Less monotonous, and makes you appear more interesting.

    Woody's been here for 14 months, so that means he re-upped to the tune of over $100. The money we spend on you is the ultimate vote of confidence that all of us give you, and most of us have done so more than once.

    And I'm sure Woody, as do I, view it as one of the perks of dropping that money and being a "VIP" on here that we get to direct the occasional smartarse remark toward the admins.

    I know in my business, the more money you pay me, the more smart-aleck remarks I'm willing to let you direct my way. Hmm, now if I could only figure out the exact exchange rate for converting dollars to snide... biggrin

  • RPI now in low 60s. I know TX A &M has been struggling recently but they did beat Ole Miss and Mizzou. 5 games left to build the resume. Mizzou and FL @ home - have the ability to add to our resume with 2 top 35 wins.
    If we can win 4 of 5 and at least 2 in tournament - I think we're in. Gotta beat Mizzou or FL at home.

    That is his son. Pretty good too as you would expect. He's had some high scoring games this year. I think josh Richardson will have to lock him down.
