Predict the first offensive play call

  • I would like to see it be a 2-point conversion but I think it might be an extra point kick after Patterson houses it off the kickoff.

    2005 -- UAB: Gerald Riggs rush 7 yards to the UT 29
    Drive: 8 plays, 49 yards, field goal

    2006 -- Cal: Erik Ainge pass complete to Robert Meachem for 41 yards to the Cal 47
    Drive: 4 plays, 48 yards, punt

    2007 -- @Cal: Erik Ainge pass complete to Austin Rogers for 6 yards to the UT 30
    Drive: 5 plays, 20 yards, fumble (returned for Cal touchdown)

    That just goes to show that, even when coaches have an entire offseason to think about what they want to do on their first offensive snap of the season, it seldom turns out to be a game-changing play.
