  • i think we lose by 10 as bad as this kills me iand trust me it does i have about lost all hope of beating a ranked team so i think 31-21 SC and it could be worse then that if our Def plays like crap again not sure whats up with bray but im over this mark my words he will go to NFL and be a star player... he has all the skills the coachs just dont know how to get them out of him and thats a coachs job well please let me know what you all think Go Vols

  • The game will come down to whether or not South Carolina is up for it. If they feel like playing they will win by 20+, if they sleep walk it will be close.

  • 35-6 USCe. Unfortunately I'm not sure how much fight this team has left in them. I hope they prove me wrong.

Dooley finally breaks through. Palardy - having sky-high confidence due to a late Bama FG - kicks the game winner as time expires. 27-24 Vols!

  • I hate to say it but UT will lose by 10+ pts.

  • I think it'll be close at times, but is give SC 10 points. I'm confident we can score 20 points on them, but they can score a lot more on us.

  • Could go either way. They could blow us out if they are up for it, but I think they're beaten up physically and mentally. I think we run the ball more than any game this season and win 34-28.

  • This is a hard game to predict. I think we match up to them really well on offense, and horribly on defense, so a high scoring game like UGA would not surprise me.

On offense, we might be the best offensive line this USC defense has faced. A lot of the game will depend on if Tiny and Juwaun can contain those defensive ends and protect Bray. If they do that (and I think they can), I like our chances against their DBs and LBs. They are very good, but if Hunter and Patterson stay focused and if Bray/Chaney work Rivera in to the game plan enough, I think we will be able to move the ball and put up points.

However, we will only move the ball and put up points IF WE HAVE THE BALL. I could see another Miss St outing where drives are extended, 3rd downs are converted, and the defense can't get off the field. Even if Lattimore is banged up, Shaw is the kind of QB who will kill us with his legs. I think the game has a chance to be close, but I don't think we'll be able to do enough on defense to win. I'm predicting 37-27 bad guys.

  • Hope springs eternal, right?! Tennessee's Oline rises to the challenge and only gives up one sack to the nation's best set of DEs. TN's defense continues to struggles but the offense is able to outscore USCe. Tbray and Co. have their best offensive game since NCSt. Hunter silences his critics as he leads the Vols to a much needed win 38-34.

To each his own, I just don't understand this outlook. If something good happens, they gave it to us; if they win, we suck!!!

My two cents, I think the team has more pride and backbone than the fans. I think the players realize that this is their chance to save the season and play for themselves and compete at a high level.

    I think we win 38-31

Its JMO. It's a noon game, there's a chance South Carolina comes out flat which will allow us to hang tough. But if they come out playing like they did against UGA we don't stand a chance. Why do people all of a sudden think our defense will be good? It's horrible. It can't stop anybody. All these people predicitng Tennessee wins could make a lot of money betting if you put your money where your mouth is. Probably about 4-1 odds this week. We all want to win but you have to be realistic. South Carolina is a complete team, they are good in all 3 phases...

Last week was a fluke against UF. UF only gained like 185 yards, the Gamecock D played awesome, they just turned it over in there own zone 3 times. We can't rely on that to happen again. Hell it happened against UGA for us and we still lost. Dooley has never won a game he wasn't supposed to and you think he will all of a sudden this week on the road at South Carolina. I don't see it. I will be cheerng like yall, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Connor Shaw and a 4th string RB last year ran for like 300 yards on our D at home, our D is worse this year and we are on the road and Lattimore is back.

We disagree on a lot, but if we lose I think it's due to Shaw's legs, not his arm or Lattimore. Not discounting either, but Shaw's mobility makes me a little nervous against our D. I would shadow Shaw, but our corners can't cover 1 on 1. I still think we find a way to win. Like someone above stated, if we can run the ball and stick with it I think we have a better chance than throwing the ball 80% of the time. A few well timed screen plays could help slow down their pass rush...maybe...I hope!

    UTBULL

  • I honestly have no idea how this team and staff can be focused with all the rumors going around. Before this started, I thought UT had a really good chance. I will be shocked if they don't come out very flat and distracted.

100% respect your opinion, wasn't trying to imply that I don't. Perfectly reasonable to predict a SCar win.

I am just not at all impressed with their offense, and I think our o-line is by far the best line they will have faced. Agree with you that our D is horrible, but their O is going to challenge us up the middle, and I think McCullers shows up. In terms of intangibles, I don't think a team could have it much better than UT right now, no pressure, 'us against the world mentality', and outside of toxic knoxville.
