How common or uncommon would it be for a coordinator to be fired during the season? I am not suggesting that firing the DC would help a ton but would it possibly buy Dooley more time if they were to release him? Or is it more common to blame the break downs on the new scheme, all years, against all opponents?

this is a dire situation. sal ha to go now. Who calls the plays for the rest of the year? Dooley.....does he even know the calls?

Does it happen often that a coordinator goes mid-season. And I agree if we cant stop Troy we will lose another game this year and then Dooley has to go I think. Making a change could save his job.
