Why can't we be a basketball school too....Florida is, Ohio State is, Oklahoma is, even Oregon is trying to be. The excuse of we aren't a basketball school is weak (sorry, but my opinion). We are a big enough school and a big enough athletic department to compete with the peers I just listed and be supportive of all our programs.

(not being obnoxious but just being a fan) thats what our problem is if people want to watch a game go watch it on tv but if you want to cheer go to the game theres no reason why stadiums with 20000 less people should ever compare to neyland. i remember back in the day when neyland would shake it would get so loud in there but its not anything like that anymore

I hear ya! I have been asked to sit down in Neyland because I was yelling while we were on defense. So I made it VERY clear that they have two choices, they can either get up and yell with me or leave now because I will only get worse as the game goes on.
After a few minutes they decided if you can't beat em... join em. They didn't get up and scream to the extent that I was, but they were much more animated than when the game started.
Try to encourage your neighbors at the game to get involved with you, it's not to make an ass of anyone, it is to help our team make it as uncomfortable as possible on the opposing team.
I will admit, It does help that I am 6'6" and 380lbs. and the guy I usually go to the games with is 6'4" and 275lbs. so not many people will say much to us...lol
