Passed away today, it is always sad to see great players die. Just reminds me of how old I am getting

Grew up with the Redbirds on KMOX. Just missed Stan as a player, but always took pride in him.

He was my dad's favorite player, R.I.P. Mr. Musial, one of the greatest of all time.

I am lucky to play golf regularly with one of his teammates, Alex Grammas, (who later was third base coach for The Big Red Machine under Sparky Anderson). He has many great stories about Musial, and, always, talks about what an exceptional athlete - and man he was.... Wish we could say that more often about today's "superstars".....

I don't believe there is enough space on the Internet to share all of the great Stan stories. I am not talking about Chuck Norris fluff. Since I've come home to the STL I have heard more local stories about what this guy has done...I honestly feel and felt like I knew him. Truly a legend that will be missed throughout the city. I'm at a loss to think of anyone else locally that would create that kind of reaction.
I look forward to telling Davin that I remember when Stan was still alive.
They just don't make them like Stan anymore...and that is a shame.
