Good info Wes! Title is a bit confusing though; last time I checked, it's Thursday, not Sunday ;)
EDIT: Fixed thread title. Thx.

There's a lot of claims that a certain TV station or a major newspaper have "confirmed" that Shannon will be the next DC. Yet if you go to their websites, there is absolutely no mention of Randy Shannon at all, let alone in context of becoming the new DC. The more I look at these rumors, the more it appears that there's actually 2-3 seperate rumors that are getting repeated and reshared throughout the twitterverse and blogosphere. The problem is that there is absolutely no corroborating evidence to back up the rumors or make them anything more substantial. This is what I was referring to as a "brush fire" in another thread. The rumors get so far out of hand that they become bigger than the actual story or the reality of the situation.
