  • I've posted many times, when you hate the coach, you hurt his recruiting. All our Dooley hot seat talk only fuels the recriiting of our rivsls.

    Sorry I'm not one these, "oh it's ok, so what if we haven't beaten a ranked team since 09 and only won one SEC game in two years so far. Lets just keep doing the same thing that not working" people. I will always support the VOLS, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with everything and try to skew everything as been good, because its not and you are kidding yourself if you think otherwise. Im just a realist. And I have been to EVERY game this year home and away, so do not accuse me of not being a VFL or not supporting the VOLS.

    Well, let's start by getting your facts straight. Lane Kiffen never beat a ranked team at Tennessee. Fulmer was the last one to accomplish that task during the 2008 bowl game against Wisconsin. Dooley has won 4 SEC games, not one, with three more wins like to come during this month. Is Dooley the greatest coach ever, hardly. Did he walk into mess where Fulmer had recruited very little talent and Kiffen had stocked the pantry with the best the juvenile correction has to offer, definitely. Does going to every game make you a VFL, not even close. You do more harm than help with a pessimistic attitude and promoting what you believe to be a necessary change in coaching. I'm not saying you should have blind faith, but recruits want to know the fans are behind them regardless of the record. I have faith that you can find more constructive ways to support the Vols, even though displeased with performance, than wishing for further instability and turmoil. Dooley has another year on his contract and providing he wins out and does well in a bowl game, I will support him for one more year to see what he can finally do.

  • Really not thrilled about this years recruiting class..The RB situation should have been addressed last year but what we got was a very average Watson..Signing a top#15 RB is an absolute must and considering the chance for immediate playing time it baffles me why any back wouldn't jump on this..We desperately need Turman or Folston but FSU has done a great job keeping players in state..Speaking of FSU it was reported on a sports TV show this morning that Auburn is going after Jimbo with some big money..Sexton is his agent and we all know how much Sexton likes money

    Again, I'm glad you think my opinion matters so much and that the media/recruits are hanging on every word. But, I'll make it real simple for you. IT'S ABOUT WINNING. It's not about anything else....period.

    I have said he has improved the program, so don't say I haven't. We do have more talent than when he arrived. We actually have more talent than MSU who beat us this year, BTW.

    I do not see anything that makes me think we are going to be winning any championships with what we have. Have we out-recruited UGA, UF, USCe, etc? No. Have they gotten worse? No. So, why are we going to beat them going forward?

    And as far as my username, I'm not going to change it. Because I have and always will support the VOLS and the players that go out there and bust their tails every day, but I don't have to agree with everything that is going on, so that pretty much blows your assine state about "only two options".

  • welll i've been a vfl for almost 30 yrs and i hated to see Fulmer go and it wasnt Fulmer it was his oc that cost Fulmer his job and all i hear at work is Ga this and Ga that and what did the Vols do but i still support CDD and the Vols win lose or draw and will continue to do so until change come and there is nothing i or anyone else can do but wait and see alot of ppl makes me mad bashing coaches if you wanna bash a coach bash Sunseri cause Dooley is not the defensive coordinator shame on ppl who say there a VFL and then act like there out there playing or could do better

    BTW, here's another "assine state" (whatever that is): It is not ALL about winning. A lot of IT is about winning the right way, which takes longer than the rest of the ways. However, it is ALL about being a Vol; and that is something about which you know nothing.
