Just a quick reminder: As always, there's no guarantee that all of the players mentioned in this story will make it to Tennessee this weekend. Especially with the wintry weather in Knoxville today, these visits are tentatively scheduled, and something always could change at the last minute. We'll let you know tomorrow night once all of the visitors have arrived and whether there was anyone who didn't make the trip.

I have a dumb question.... When a potential recruit verbally "commits" to a school, what does that mean. It seems, very little these days. This year, for The Vols, that seems to be a good thing. It just appears that we have a raft of players visiting that are "committed" to other schools. Does their "comittment" save a place for the recruit at the particular school? Is there some benefit to the recruit to "commit" and keep looking? GBO!

Great stuff Ryan. Hopefully all the guys can make it in safely and CBJ and this staff can make some more big things happen. Really hope we can blow Carl Lawson away and make a big splash with him.

Ryan... in your expert opinion, if you could pick current commits to be on campus with these recruits, would this be the list you would want? Will this group of commits help recruit for UT the most effectively of all of our recruits is what I am asking. To me, this list of commits almost seems like they are coming here to continue to be recruited, not to help with recruiting. Not saying anything negative about these kids, just an impression that I get that these aren't our most solid recruits. Thanks in advance.

Not Ryan but I believe of all the UT commits Ryan Jenkins has the most sway on Carl Lawson. JMO...

I hope the staff at UT can do some serious persuading, because it appears these guys are just enjoying the attention. I would like to see some commits out of this group by Monday morning, as well as cancelled trips to other schools.

In this day and age, I am not sure anyone can confidently describe any 18 year old kid/prospect as a "lock" but do I believe Jenkins' response to the Auburn offer is telling.
